In a significant gesture reflecting the warmth of bilateral ties, Prime Minister Modi was conferred Indonesia’s highest civilian honour—the Bintang Adipurna Medal of Honor—by President Prabowo Subianto. The Prime Minister dedicated the honour to the people of India and to the enduring friendship between India and Indonesia. Prime Minister Modi also delivered a historic address to the Parliament of Indonesia—the first-ever by an Indian Prime Minister. Highlighting the deep civilisational links and shared democratic values between the two nations, he called for a future-oriented partnership aligned with the aspirations of Viksit Bharat 2047 and Golden Indonesia 2045.
