In this episode of the Perspective Prog. Based on ‘Monsoon Session of Parliament’. The Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to begin on July 18th, i.e. Monday. With 18 sittings, the session will continue till August 12th. Two important events – the election to the office of the President of India and the 16th Vice-Presidential election will take place during this period. While the presidential election will take place on the first day of the session, and counting of votes on July 21st, the election to the office of Vice President will be held on 6th August. Talking about the legislative business, the Centre has listed 24 bills for introduction in the Monsoon session of Parliament. What are some of the important Bills listed by the government? What are the other issues expected to be raised in Parliament?.
