The Winter Session of Parliament commences on Monday, 25th November,

and subject to exigencies of Government Business, may conclude on 20th

December. As many as 16 Bills have been listed in the tentative list of

business, including five new Bills and 11 pending Bills. The new Bills include The Coastal Shipping Bill, The Indian Ports Bill, The Merchant Shipping Bill, The Punjab Courts (Amendment) Bill and The Rashtriya Sahkari Vishwavidyalaya Bill. While the pending ones include the Waqf Amendment Bill, the Disaster Management Bill, the Banking Laws Amendment Bill among others.

There will be no session of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on 26th November to commemorate the ‘Constitution Day.’ This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution. Multiple events have been held nationwide to create awareness about what our Constitution stands for. We could see a special session featuring discussions on the Constitution’s enduring relevance and its role in shaping Indian democracy.
