He becomes only the second Republican in 20 years to secure a second term in office. His remarkable comeback was fueled by victories across key swing states. In his victory speech, Trump pledged to “heal” the nation and usher in a “golden age” for the United States.Following his win, leaders worldwide have extended congratulations, applauding his “historic” achievement. With Trump crossing the 270 threshold of 538 electoral votes, Republicans have also gained control of the US Senate.
