In this episode of the Perspective Prog. Based on ‘Russia-Ukraine War’. Russian forces on Monday conducted a massive missile strike attack against over 20 Ukrainian cities including the capital Kyiv. Russia termed these strikes as retaliation for Saturday’s attack on a key bridge linking Russia with Crimea which damaged the strategic supply and logistics artery for Russian forces. Meanwhile Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that Minsk and Moscow have agreed to deploy a joint regional group of military forces in response to alleged aggravations on Belarus’ western border. United Nations General Assembly on Monday rejected Russia’s call for the 193-member body to hold a secret ballot later this week on whether to condemn Moscow’s move to annex four partially occupied regions in Ukraine. So what’s the significance of this new escalation in Russia-Ukraine conflict and what more can be expected?
