A day before George Soros’ comments on India, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar had warned against doctored narratives becoming hurdles in India’s growth. Addressing Indian Information Service (IIS) probationers at his official home in Delhi on Wednesday Vice President had asked the young officers – who handle the media wing of the government – to guard against sinister designs that try to hurt India’s growth story. So how is India tackling this disinformation campaign and why is it important to counter the doctored narratives about India.
