The first part of the Budget session has concluded after debates on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address and the Union Budget 2023-24. The session, which began with the President’s address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament on January 31st, will reconvene for the second part on March 14th. During the month-long recess, budgetary allocations will be examined and reports prepared by standing committees. Both Houses will reassemble on March 14th for the second part of the Budget session which will conclude on April 8th. We’ll talk about the productivity and key highlights of the first part of the session on the programme today.
