India hosted a meeting of the National Security Advisors of member countries in New Delhi on Wednesday. NSA Ajit Doval delivered the opening remarks, speaking about development, connectivity and challenges faced by the SCO member countries. He asserted that the goals and vision of SCO as enshrined in its Charter can show us the path forward. The SCO is an intergovernmental organization formed in 2001, comprising of countries such as China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and India. It was established with the imperative of promoting economic, political, and military cooperation among its member nations. India is the current Chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and is holding a series of events which will culminate in the SCO Summit, which will be held in July. On the show today, we’ll talk about India’s priorities laid out by NSA Ajit Doval and the significance of the SCO for the country.
