In this episode of the Perspective Prog. Based on ‘US-China Relations’. We’re going to be talking about heightened tensions between the U.S. and China over the suspected spy balloon. As you may be aware, the U.S. military downed the suspected Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean and launched a mission to recover all the equipment from its debris. It drew a strong reaction from China, which insisted that the object was a civilian balloon intended for meteorological research. Accusing the U.S. of indiscriminate use of force, China said it had seriously impacted and damaged efforts and progress in stabilising Sino-U.S. relations. With an eminent panel of experts, we’ll analyse the suspected spy balloon saga and how it has dealt a blow to the already strained U.S.-Chinese relations.
