In this episode of the Perspective Prog. Based on ‘Budget Session of Parliament’. The Budget session of Parliament will commence from January 31st with President Droupadi Murmu addressing the joint sitting of both Houses. The Economic Survey will be tabled after the President’s address. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on February 1st – the last full Budget of the Modi government ahead of the 2024 General elections. The first part of the Budget session will see a detailed discussion on Motion of Thanks to the President’s address followed by both Houses discussing the Union Budget. The first part of the session will go on till February 13th after which there will be a recess till 12th March. The Parliament will reconvene for the second part of the session on March 13th and continue till April 6th. The key expectations from the Budget that will have 27 sittings spread across 66 days.
