Perspective: 100 Days of Russia-Ukraine War | 03 June, 2022

In this episode of the Perspective Prog. based on ‘100 Days of Russia-Ukraine War’. It’s now been 100 days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. What began as a special military operation by Russia to demilitarise and denazify Ukraine, has caused death, destruction, displacement and economic havoc, with no end in sight. Relentless shelling, bombing and airstrikes over the past few months have reduced large swathes of many cities & towns to rubble. As about the death count – well, no one really knows how many cobatants and civilians have died, especially with war still continuing. The UN’s International Organisation for Migration estimates that as of now, over 7 million people have been internally displaced. Ukrainian President claims Russia controls about 20% of the country’s territory. The economic fallout, has been immense, not just for the 2 warring sides, but for the world – leading to flobal food and energy insecurity. So is there a way out of these crises? Given the immense destruction and loss of lives until now, is there a chance of a peacefully negotiated settlement between Russia & Ukraine?
