The government is set to introduce four new labour codes that have been framed by amalgamating 29 central labour laws. These labour codes are related to wages, social security, occupational safety, health and working conditions, and industrial relations. Set to be implemented soon, the new labour codes will ensure empowerment of workers via minimum wages, job security, social & health security. This was underlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the National Conference of Labour Ministers of all States and Union Territories. The Prime Minister emphasised that India’s labour force has a huge role to play in realizing India’s dreams and aspirations to build a developed nation in the Amrit Kaal. That’s why, there is a need to change as per the changing scenario… The country must take full advantage of the fourth industrial revolution by taking not just the right decisions, but quick ones and implement them rapidly.
