One of them is the deficiency of Vitamin D – the sunshine vitamin which is essential for the human body to thrive and function properly. We’re all aware Vitamin D keeps our bones, teeth and muscles healthy. But new studies have found that low levels of Vitamin D could also be a trigger for cardiovascular diseases. According to a study conducted at the Australian Centre for Precision Health at the University of South Australia Cancer Research Institute, vitamin D deficiency can increase blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
