“A Boundless Moment” is the english translation of “Prapti”,an Odia book written by Paramita Satpathy which received the prestigious Sahitya Academy award. The book delves into the human fate and their circumstances in which they are in. The stories in the collections attempt to examine the deeper truth of subjugation and external realities. Her Book focuses on women and Odia culture in the forefront.
Paramita Satpathy is an eminent Odia fiction writer who writes prose,fiction and poetry in Odia and English languages. She has seven Odia story collections, three novels, one collection of novellas and one poetry collection to her credit. Her works have been translated into various Indian Languages. She has been the recipient of many Awards like Odisha Sahitya Award, Bhartiya Bhasha Puraskar and Bhubaneswar Book Fair Award among others.
Presented by Dr. Gautam Choubey, ‘Likhawat’ is a show about the books of Bharat – written in many languages, published in different parts of the country, yet rooted in the singularity of Indian ethos.
Each episode of Likhawat will take up a book of national resonance and will feature a special guest who is privy to the intimate story of the book as it was imagined, written, published and read.
