The AIIMS, New Delhi – the country’s premier health institute – has been forced back in time after a major cyberattack took all of its servers offline.Experts worry that this cyberattack could’ve compromised the data of the large number of patients. The crucial data includimg personal credentials of patients, lab reports, medical history & health records etc. – is now at risk of being sold on the dark web. While all efforts are being made to restore the servers at AIIMS, it has led to huge concerns over cybersecurity – the most vital being on how prepared are we to tackle such growing challenges?
