Sansad Tv

From 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti) the government is all set to launch the Special Campaign 5.0.This month-long initiative, running till 31st October, is much more than just a cleanliness drive. It is about Swachhata, efficiency, and accountability in governance. Since its inception in 2021, this special campaign has transformed into a national movement – earning more than Rs 3,200 crore from scrap disposal, covering nearly 12 lakh sites across India and even Indian Missions abroad, and weeding out/closing more than 137 lakh pending files. This year, the spotlight of the campaign is on tackling e-waste – from outdated computers and printers to digital boards, and also fast-tracking the disposal of pending public grievances, MPs’ references, state government communications, Inter-ministerial consultations, and parliamentary assurances. In the true spirit of Swachh Bharat and as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Special Campaign 5.0 aims to not only clean our surroundings but also declutter our governance system – ensuring quicker responses, efficient record management, and better citizen services. On the show today, we delve deeper into this nationwide campaign – trying to understand more about its vision, its targets, and why it matters to each one of us.
