प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने 14 मई 2025 को भारत सेमीकंडक्टर मिशन के तहत छठी सेमीकंडक्टर इकाई की स्थापना को मंजूरी दी। देश में पहले से ही पांच सेमीकंडक्टर इकाइयां निर्माण के उन्नत चरणों में हैं। इस छठी इकाई के साथ, भारत रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण सेमीकंडक्टर उद्योग को विकसित करने की दिशा में और प्रगति कर रहा है।
