In a historic achievement, the BJP gained power for the first time in the home state of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, it’s founder during the Jana Sangh days. Mamata Banerjee lost power after 15 years. The verdict is bound to have a major impact not only in West Bengal but also the whole region as well as India at large.
