Padma Shri Awardee Tsultrim Chonjor single-handedly led efforts to construct a 38-km stretch of road from Ramjak, an inhabited area on the Jammu and Kashmir side of Shinkula pass, to Kargyak village, the first properly inhabited village in the Zanskar region from May 2014 to June 2017.
लद्दाख के माउंटमैन के नाम से मशहूर लामा त्सुलटिम छोंजोर ने ग्रामीण लोगों की तकलीफ दूर करने के लिए पहाड़ काटकर खुद ही 38 किलोमीटर लंबी सड़क बना डाली थी इस काम के लिए उन्होंने अपनी सारी संपत्ति भी बेच दी थी. इस सराहनीय काम के लिए उन्हें पद्मश्री से भी नवाजा गया है
