At the DMRC stall at India AI Impact Summit 2026, the story is simple: AI is being used to make metro travel easier for passengers and safer for trains. DMRC’s official AI assistant CHETNA helps commuters with quick metro queries.
Behind the scenes, DMRC has also adopted AI + IoT based monitoring for rolling stock maintenance, like gearbox bearing health alerts, remote train diagnostics, wheel profile measurement, axle bearing temperature monitoring, and AI-based automatic rail checks to catch safety issues early.
Plus, passenger convenience improves through official app-based QR ticketing, including WhatsApp ticketing options.
