After Operation Vijay in 1961, Goa, Daman and Diu were liberated from Portuguese rule. The Constitution (Twelfth Amendment) Act, 1962 officially declared these territories as Union Territories of India. This special program explores the Goa Liberation Movement, the constitutional amendment, the political developments of that period, and the historic moment that reshaped the map of independent India.
