राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविन्द के विदाई समारोह में उपराष्ट्रपति एम. वेंकैया नायडु, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला के अलावा दोनों सदनों के सांसद शामिल हुए। अपने विदाई भाषण में राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविन्द ने राष्ट्रपति और सांसदों को विकास-पथ के सहयात्री बताया। उन्होंने देश के जरूरी मुद्दों पर दलगत राजनीति से ऊपर उठने की बात कही। संसद के सेंट्रल हॉल में आयोजित समारोह में उन्होंने राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी और संविधान निर्माण में अहम भूमिका निभाने वाले बाबा साहेब को भी याद किया।
