सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सड़कों और हाइवे पर घूम रहे आवारा पशुओं को लेकर सख्त रुख अपनाया है। अदालत ने सरकार को निर्देश दिया है कि इन पशुओं को तुरंत हटाया जाए। शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, अस्पतालों और रेलवे स्टेशनों जैसे सार्वजनिक स्थानों से भी आवारा कुत्तों और अन्य पशुओं को हटाकर आश्रय गृह भेजने का आदेश दिया गया है।
