The WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine brought together world leaders, policymakers, scientists, and health experts to advance the global recognition of traditional medicine through science, evidence, and innovation.

Addressing the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that traditional medicine has not yet received the recognition it truly deserves. He underlined the need for scientific validation, quality standards, and evidence-based research to integrate traditional medicine safely and effectively into modern healthcare systems.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s holistic health traditions such as Ayurveda and Yoga, stressing their focus on balance between body, mind, and environment—an approach increasingly relevant in addressing lifestyle diseases and global health challenges.
