मेडिसिन के क्षेत्र में वर्ष 2025 का नोबेल पुरस्कार मैरी ई. ब्रुनको, फ्रेड रामस्डेल और शिमोन साकागुची को दिया गया है। यह पुरस्कार Peripheral Immune Tolerance से संबंधित अग्रणी खोजों के लिए दिया गया है। इस खोज ने आधुनिक प्रतिरक्षा विज्ञान की दिशा बदली है और न्यू जेनेरेशन इम्यूनोथेरेपी का आधार तैयार किया है। यह खोज टाइप-1 मधुमेह, रुमेटी गठिया, ल्यूपस, कैंसर उपचार एवं अंग प्रत्यारोपण में फायदेमंद होगी। पहला नोबेल पुरस्कार 1901 में प्रदान किया गया, यह पुरस्कार कुल 6 क्षेत्रों में दिया जाता है।
