The last two years, particularly have been difficult for us… Hit by an unprecedented pandemic, we’ve had to face fear, despair, stress, and even deaths of our near & dear ones. The only thing that gave us hope in these testing times was the vaccine against Covid-19. And much to the pride & delight of every Indian, we had our very own, indigenous vaccine developed in record time. Covaxin, along with another locally-produced vaccine Covishield, have been key drivers of India’s Covid vaccination programme – which is the largest in the world. The home-grown vaccine, developed by Bharat Biotech, has not just been a savior, but a symbol of the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians.
