The Indian Tourism sector ranks among the fastest-growing economic sectors in the country. The industry significantly impacts employment and drives regional development, while also creating a multiplier effect on the performance of related industries.  The Union Budget 2023-24 had highlighted Tourism as one of the major sectors contributing to India’s overall economy and allocated Rs. 2400 crores to the Ministry of Tourism. By 2028, India’s tourism and hospitality industry is projected to generate revenue of over 59 Billion USD. The Government of India also envisions creating around 140 million jobs in tourism by 2030.
