The lead bank scheme, formation of self-help groups, and the appointment of Business Correspondents and Business Facilitators to provide doorstep delivery of banking services have also been integral.The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana doesn’t stop at merely providing basic banking services. The Financial Literacy Program under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is a robust effort to promote savings, educate about ATMs, prepare for credit, facilitate insurance and pensions, and enable the use of basic mobile phones for banking services.It goes beyond, ensuring universal access to banking services through an extensive network of branches and Banking Correspondents (BCs).
