In this exclusive conversation, we speak to Youngest Bowler of the winning team, the pace bowler behind this iconic victory. Kranti Goud — the rising fast-bowling sensation from Madhya Pradesh — has taken Indian women’s cricket by storm. Born in 2003 and raised amid financial hardship, she learned cricket playing with boys, often surviving on a single meal a day. From being spotted in a local match to becoming a key figure in domestic cricket, her journey is nothing short of inspirational.
Picked by UP Warriorz for ₹10 lakh in the 2024 WPL auction, Kranti delivered standout performances, including dismissing Meg Lanning as her first WPL wicket and becoming the second-youngest to take a four-wicket haul. She soon earned her India call-up, making her ODI and T20I debuts in 2025.
Her 6/52 against England established her as the youngest Indian to claim a five-wicket haul in women’s ODI history. In the 2025 Women’s World Cup, she became one of India’s biggest match-winners with 9 wickets, including a match-winning 3/20 vs Pakistan.
