The first national conference of parliamentary and legislative committees on ‘Empowerment of Women’ is being held on September 14th and 15th in Tirupati. Being jointly hosted by the Parliament of India and the Andhra Pradesh Legislature, the two-day event will be held by representatives of committees from Parliament as well as state legislatures along with public representatives from across the country.

The discussion was on  ‘Gender Responsive Budgeting’ and ‘Empowering

Women to Face Challenges of Emerging Technologies’ – the two sub-themes of the All-India Conference of Parliamentary and Legislative Committees on Empowerment of Women and the  efforts to further strengthen the ecosystem to make Nari Shakti the unstoppable force driving a stronger, more inclusive nation forward.
