STATUTORY RESOLUTIONS
(i) SHRIMATI NIRMALA SITHARAMAN to move the following Resolutions:- “In pursuance of section 3B of the Central Excise Act, 1944 read with section 147 of the Finance Act, 2002, this House hereby approves of notification No. 14/2026- Central Excise dated 11th April, 2026 [G.S.R. 272(E), 11th April, 2026], which seeks to amend the Eighth Schedule to the Finance Act, 2002 in order to increase the Special Additional Excise Duty on High Speed Diesel oil to Rs 24 per litre.”
(ii) “In pursuance of section 3B of the Central Excise Act, 1944 read with section 8A of the Custom Tariff Act, 1975 and Sections 111 and 112 of the Finance Act, 2018, this House hereby approves of notification No. 15/2026-Central Excise dated 11th April, 2026 [G.S.R. 273(E), 11th April, 2026], which seeks to amend the Sixth Schedule to the Finance Act, 2018 in order to increase the Road and Infrastructure Cess on High Speed Diesel oil to Rs 36 per litre.”
