India is the world’s most populous nation, and over the last decade it has maintained robust levels of rapid economic growth. It is our aim to make India a high income country soon, and an economic superpower by 2047.Despite GDP estimates being lowered to around 6.5%, we are the fastest growing major economy in the world. This growth is expected to remain consistent, building upon the strong performance in recent years. Government initiatives like infrastructure development, digital transformation, and policies supporting entrepreneurship are contributing to India’s economic rise.There are however some concerns, like challenges to domestic consumption and manufacturing. The US political landscape is also a big factor and the shape that the world’s largest economy takes will have a bearing on India. It is in this context that we will take a look at the state of the Indian economy and what to expect from the all-important union budget.
