Important to highlight that the North Eastern Region is a gateway to South East Asian countries, aligning perfectly with India’s Act East Policy. As Prime Minister recently highlighted the potential of the North Eastern States in various sectors such as Tourism & hospitality, Agri and allied industries, healthcare, entertainment & sports, infrastructure, logistics, IT, and Textiles. High literacy rates and abundant natural resources make it an ideal destination for investment. The Ministry of DoNER has been actively driving growth in North East India, focusing on transparency, infrastructure development and investment across key sectors such as healthcare, tourism, agriculture, and semiconductors.
