Lee Kuan Yew was a Singaporean statesman and lawyer who served as the first Prime Minister of Singapore from 1959 to 1990, and is widely recognised as the nation’s founding father. Lee Kuan Yew transformed the tiny outpost of Singapore into one of Asia’s wealthiest and least corrupt countries as its founding father and first prime minister died here on Monday. He died at 1991.
