The man behind bringing nearly all 200 nations into a common cause to adapt to the effects of climate change and limit the rise in average global temperature to 1.5 C is an Indian-origin UK minister- Alok Sharma. He was appointed President for COP26, the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, in January this year.
