Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman moves –
(a) that the following amendment recommended by Rajya Sabha in the Bill to give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 2023-2024, be taken into consideration:–
Clause 174
1. That at page 67, for lines 43 and 44, the following be substituted, namely:-
“(i) against entry (a), in column (3), for the figures and words “0.05 per cent.”, the figures and words “0.0625 per cent.” shall be substituted; and”
(b) that the recommendation made by Rajya Sabha be accepted
* The Bill was passed by Lok Sabha on the 24 th March, 2023 and transmitted to Rajya Sabha on the same day. Rajya Sabha returned the Bill with recommendation on 27 th March, 2023, which was laid on the Table of Lok Sabha on the same day.
