BJP sprang a surprise by fielding Jaggesh for the Upper House from Karnataka in the biennial elections. Jaggesh is an actor in the Kannada film industry, known for the comedy roles he portrays in his movies. He is a versatile comedy actor in the Kannada film industry, known best for his unique dialogue delivery and his mannerisms. Jaggesh is originally from a village called Mayasandra of Turuvekere Taluk in Tumkur district. He has been using Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme to identify and get implemented developmental works of capital nature based on locally felt needs in Tumkuru so that durable assets are created.
